Halleluiah We Are Now Legitimate

I just left the Asset Protection Society Forum in Las Vegas after 3 days of meetings.
This newsletter is going to be short and to the point, and it may not mean anything to many of my loyal readers; however, it means a lot to me.
I spent three days with lawyers, CPAs, financial advisors and a few clients who are all considering Asset Protection. I am blessed because during this time I did not have any “gurus” (or better yet, one of the many “Fathers of Asset Protection”) telling me that Offshore Asset Protection is a fraud “per se” or something that no decent, intelligent thinking person would ever consider.
The bottom line is that 12 states have enacted laws authorizing Asset Protection Trusts.
It seems that Asset Protection is now legitimized by nearly a quarter of the states in the union.
BOTTON LINE: Asset Protection is finally accepted as a legitimate business purpose, and the list of jurisdictions supporting this is growing.
With that said, do not, under any circumstance, go with a Domestic Asset Protection Plan. It is “nice” that the powers in these states approve of plans if it feeds the coffers of their state; however, Domestic Asset Protection Plans do NOT work. WHY…. Simple: The Full Faith and Credit Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Domestic Asset Protection Plans do NOT dependably work. Our plans do.
Sorry for the short and simple newsletter; however, this is one of the main lessons I learned from my time with the public.
We are doing the right thing, and we hope to do Asset Protection for you. Anybody who leaves their family unprotected is just asking for trouble and ignoring their responsibility.
